OUR STORY
The Duck Cottage began with a simple belief:
Love One Another.
We’re James and Keona, the family behind The Duck Cottage, a flower farm just outside the Twin Cities in Minnesota.
What started with a love of growing beautiful things has become something much bigger. We believe flowers have a remarkable way of saying what words sometimes cannot. I’m thinking of you. I see you. You matter. You are loved.
And we want to put more of that into the world.
The Duck Cottage exists to turn flowers into acts of love.
We grow extraordinary, colorful flowers and send them out into our community through bouquets, weddings, celebrations, and unexpected moments of kindness. But our hope reaches beyond the flowers themselves.
We want to inspire people to notice one another. To reach out. To give generously. To remind someone going through a difficult season that they have not been forgotten.
Mental health and suicide prevention are especially close to our hearts. We dream of growing The Duck Cottage into a movement that brings flowers and moments of connection to people who need them most, from a coworker walking through an impossibly hard day to seniors who may feel alone and neighbors who simply need a reminder that someone cares.
Every bouquet is an opportunity to make someone feel seen.
Every flower can become an act of love.
And every person who buys, gives, shares, partners, or participates helps us carry that message a little farther.
Love One Another.
It’s more than something we print on our flowers.
It’s why we grow them.
